Irresistible Me Diamond Hair Straightner | Review

Hey :) I'm really excited to share with you this straightener today because I love it and have been using it non stop since the day I got it. It's by the brand Irresistible Me and they kindly sent it to me so I could try it out and tell all of you how I've got on with it. Up to now I love it and love the design of this straightener and how it works..so much so that I've actually thrown my other one away haha. First of all I'm gonna talk about how cool the whole box is! Probably one of the nicest packaged hair tools I've ever received, also the box tells you pretty much everything you need to know about the straightener and comes with a little guide book too which gives you information on what heat settings to use for your hair type in case your unsure.

The straighter includes:
- Diamond Nano Hi-Tech Plates
- Heat resistant cover
- Buttons on the inside of the straightener to control the heat settings and turn on and off
- Auto Shut Off
- Fast Heat Up
- 360 Cord
- Light Weight
- Grip at the top
- Maximum temp of 230c

I think that this is one of the best and well designed hair straighteners ever! They have thought of everything to make it the best it can possibly be and yes I can confirm that all of the above are true.
I think my favourite features to this is that the plates have grip to them and have a heat resistant cover, which means I'm now able to straighten and curl my hair without it slipping out my fingers or burning myself which actually happens to me a lot.

Okay so in these photos below is my 100% natural hair, I'd washed it the night before and had let it dry naturally and this is what I always do. As you cans see my hair is pretty straight naturally, but it does go wavy and very frizzy too.

The heat setting I used was 170 because my hair is quite thick. To straighten my whole hair it only took me around 5/6 mins (i'm not kidding).

The straightener is so easy to use and doesn't pull or tug on your hair when using it, my hair just glides smoothly through it causing me no pain which i'm sure if you use hair curlers/straighteners yourself you can relate to.

And this is what my hair looks like when it's all been straightened (I'm sorry if your tired of reading that word now) without styling or adding any product in it. I have used this so many times and my hair stays the same all day and can last up to 2 days on me. I have also used this to curl my hair and it curls it really well and they also last a really long time, the only thing i'll do differently is change the heat settings to a slightly higher one. But if you'd like to see how I curl my hair with a straightener then click HERE.

I honestly can't fault this straightener and I'll be sure to continue to use it. If you'd like me to write another post using this straightener, maybe on a few hairstyles you can achieve with this then let me know :)

Have you tried Irresistible Me products before?

Shoe Zone Diamante Summer Sandals | Review

These may well be the prettiest pair of sandals I've ever owned.
I love that there's no strap between your toe, it's more comfortable without that in my opinion and these are so comfy!

These are a pretty colour and have diamante's all over them, what more could you want?

These sandals will also look super pretty on holidays worn both day & night time. I think you can pair lots of different clothes with these too which is always good.

What I would pair with these shoes:

Shorts - Primark
Lace Top - Select

You can buy these sandals from shoezone.com by clicking HERE:

I was very kindly sent these to review and display from the marketing team at shoezone, but all opinions are personally my own.

Jelly Shoes | Review

The sun is finally making an appearance woo!:D So this means summer shopping *fist pump*

So I opted for a pair of 'Jelly Shoes' as I wanted some new shoes for the summer and Shoe Zone had a nice range of shoes which I liked the look of and these definitley stood out to me.

I never thought I'd say this but these are so comfy, I imagined these to feel more like plastic but they are such nice quality and don't hurt my feet.
I also like the way they make my feet look as I thought they might make my feet look extra chunky but they don't in the slightest.

-Also a really good tip about these, if they get dirty you can put them under the tap to clean them and they dry instantly. So no worries about the colour being white :)

These would look so pretty on holiday as you can also wear them on the beach and pair lots of summer clothing with them.

What I'd pair with these shoes:

Kimono - Select
Shorts - New Look
Navy Vest - Primark
Jewellery - Wallis

You can buy these Jelly Shoes from Shoe Zone here.

Do you own a pair of jelly shoes yourself?
What do you think of them?

My Favourite Skin Care | Review

Displaying image1.jpeg
(this is what the box set comes with, it also comes with a muslin cloth)

I recently changed my skin care routine and have noticed a lot of difference so I thought I would tell you what i've been using on my skin. I found out about this brand when I was in asda, yes asda and I saw a box full with nspa products for only £10! I had already been eyeing up the brand before and was looking at getting one of the bigger tubes, but because they sold them a tiny bit smaller and in a four pack it was easier to then decide if I liked them or not and got to try a bit of everything. Also they are all numbered thus making it easier to know what to apply first :)

The first one is the cleansing gel, which you apply first. It feels really soft on the skin and isn't too hard to remove either. I really really like this and also if you're feeling a bit lazy on some days you could skip a few steps and just use this.

This is the hot cloth cleanser (which originally comes with the muslin cloth) which i've been really loving it does a good job at removing your make up and I like removing this with either the muslin cloth or a simple flannel. I've noticed a huge difference in my skin since using this.

Next the radiant serum, now i'd never tried a serum before so I was excited to see what all the fuss was about.
I can positively say I now love using serums before my moisturizer, I think it makes your skin look so much more awake than normal and glowy (not oily or sweaty). LOVE IT!

And finally last but not least the brightening day cream, this includes spf15 so a bonus for the summer months.
This goes perfectly with the serum and moisturizes your skin really well and I would say i've got sort of dry skin but not major, however if I have a few dry patches this will get rid of them in only a few hours (depending on how dry my skin was that day)

I honestly have nothing bad to say about this skin care range, and everything i've tried i've been more than pleased with.
I'd never heard of this brand before like I said earlier,
but if you do use this skincare range do let me know what you think of it in the comments :)

Dazzle Dust | Barry M

Barry M Dazzle Dusts are sold in many different colours and are basically a loose pigment for your eyes or in my case, you can use the one I own as a highlighter too. Mine has tiny little specs of glitter which are noticeable on the eyes which scares people off but I think a bit of glitter is acceptable especially because Christmas is right around the corner (eekkk!).

It lasts all day long and is very highly pigmented :) I really need to take a quick look at the Barry M counter when I make my next trip to boots or superdrug as I've heard great things about the whole range. I bought mine..erm...I'd say a good year ago now and as you can see by the photo above I've barely used any up in that time, but I have worn it a lot! I know that these won't be everyone's cup of tea but for those interested I hope you enjoyed this post and found it some what helpful or interesting if your a bit of a make up nerd like me :)

Have you tried Barry M Dazzle Dusts? What do you think of them?

P.S sorry for not blogging too much this month + please let me know what posts you want to see? x x

Monthly Favourites | November

Heyy, so another month has flown by and it's now December which means it's technically officially Christmas time :) Who's excited *raises hand*

I love this lipstick a lot and have been wearing it a lot recently and yes I know it looks like a bit of an odd/scary colour but it doesn't look weird on don't worry. It's from an old avon collection 'colour trend' which is still going but sadly this colour was discontinued so it's unavailable to buy now which means I will have to savor it until it runs out :( Anyway the pigmentation is good and doesn't make your lips look/feel dry. I'm sad this lipstick is not being made anymore because I think I would have bought a new one when it runs out - sad times :(

This lip gloss I bought only in October/late September I think and have been wearing it every since. It's very subtle and pretty, the perfect nude lipgloss. This doesn't make your lips look dry either. It was around £1.99 as are all the others from the natural collection. I don't think this brand gets enough attention personally, yes some of the products can be a bit shabby (sorry natural collection) but you can find some great products for such bargain prices! :)

As you may or may have not seen on my blog, I actually did a blog post about this (click here) and if you did read it you will know that I absolutely love it!
I have almost finished little pot already which I know is really bad considering I only bought this a few weeks ago oopss. It completely changes the look of your lips -from chapped and horrible looking, to smooth and moisturized. I would say the price of this is a bit steep considering the ingredients used to make this is sugar, oil and food colouring and you've got your own lip exfoliator. All I can say is don't be put off by the price tag because it's really good for your lips and i'm sure your'll love it just as much as me.

If you've followed me for a long time now you will know that I mentioned this in my skincare post (click here). I am still using this but sadly it is starting to run out :( This has literally saved my skin form looking dry and patchy all autumn and makes a god base for make up. Good price, great moisturizer, keeps you face moisturized and fresh for a long time, can't go wrong with this face cream :)

I have noticed a lot of brands releasing their own collection of eyeshadow sticks/crayons and personally I think there amazing. I like the idea of these as they are so quick and easy to apply and blend really nicely or you can even use eyeshadow sticks as a base for eyeshadow which works just as well too. I really want to look into buying more of these form other brands so if you know of anymore or any good ones worth buying then please let me know :)

I think this one has to be my favourite...
This eyeshadow palette I picked up at TKmaxx can you believe as E.L.F products aren't sold in the UK I believe which sucks because after using this I want to have a look at some of their other products they have to offer. My palette palette is in the 'warm edition' and has the most beautiful neutral shades. I was so shocked when I first used this to find they were incredibly pigmented, after paying the price of £3.99 I wasn't expecting a whole lot but this proved me sooo wrong. I obviously couldn't swatch them all for you because I don't have a long enough arm, but I did swatch some of my most used/favourite shades for you :)

Review | Zoeva

I recently got these zoeva goodies for my birthday and thought I would do a mini review/first impressions on them seen as I love them so much :)

Zoeva 110 Face Shape Brush - £8.95
Being named 'face shape brush' basically means it's designed for really precised contouring..I don't actually use this brush for it's purpose, I actually use this as my concealer brush because it's great for under the eyes and is sooo soft and doesn't tug your skin either. These brushes also wash extremely well, they don't shed any hairs or loose their shape when drying.

Zoeva Lip Crayon - Tender Rose - £5.95
When I saw this online I thought the colour looked so pretty and I had to have it, I did wonder though will it look the same in real life as many photos of products online can be really off to it's true colour especially when it comes to lipsticks. I would say this is a cross between a lipstick and a super tinted balm because it's so moisturizing which I love and lasts a long enough time but you will need to reapply throughout the day but that doesn't bother me too much.

Zoeva Mirror - £7.95
Now there isn't an awful lot I can tell you about this mirror apart from the fact it's small, compact and travel friendly. It folds away nicely into a little square so the mirror won't get damaged or scratched in your handbag -I know that is very common. It even has it's own little stand on the back which you can adjust.

Have you tried zoeva products? If so let me know which ones and if you liked them in the comments below :)
